In 1924, when the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region was formed, for the first time in the history of the Kyrgyz people, the state level was tasked with preparing qualified personnel for the education system specifically from and for the indigenous population. The Kyrgyz Institute of Education was opened and accepted its first students a year later – on October 20, 1925. The first certified teachers were graduated in 1929. By this time, the Institute of Education was renamed the Central Kyrgyz Pedagogical College – TsKPT (1929).
In 1932, on the basis of the Central Pedagogical College, the first university was created, the Pedagogical Institute named after M.V. Frunze, and the graduating students became first-year students at the new university.
The next step in the history of higher education was the establishment of the first Kyrgyz State University (KSU), on May 24, 1951.

The first leaders of Kirinpros (TsKPT) were Pyotr Kuzmich Yudakhin, the first director until his death in 1929, and Bazarkul Daniyarov, the first head of the educational department, and since 1929 – director.

Bazarkul Daniyarov was subjected to party purges in the 1930s, and in 1937 he was arrested, in 1940 he was transferred to the Gulag, where he died in a logging camp in 1942. He was posthumously rehabilitated.

Kirinpros not only completed the task of training personnel for the education system, but became a brilliant example of an institution that nurtured a whole galaxy of figures whom we call the color of national culture. Graduates of this educational institution are famous writers and poets, outstanding philologists, translators, ethnographers, composers, musicians, singers, artists, critics, journalists, statesmen and, of course, teachers.

The technical school program corresponded to the level of a secondary vocational educational institution, and therefore many graduates, after graduation, continued their studies at universities that had opened by that time in the republic and other places. But they received the impulse for creative work, the desire to express themselves, to accomplish something important for the people and to reveal their talent within the walls of this educational institution.
