The annual scientific and practical conference SCIENCE DAYS OF KSMA named after I.K.Akhunbaev was held in April 2016. The KSMA management and the Organizing Committee conducted annual Competition for young scientists. As indicated in the program the number of young scientists participating in the contest is growing steadily. So, this year, 212 papers were submitted to the contest. The jury included experts from the faculty of KSMA.
The first place was taken by the 4th year student of “General medicine” faculty JARKYN OTKEYEVA. We congratulate Jarkyn with this victory (remember – the contest received 212 reports)!
We already had the opportunity to congratulate Jarkyn personally! Every year since 2012 the Foundation awards the winner with the 10-day cultural and educational trip to Moscow. Jarkyn’s journey happened from June 11th to 21st of 2016.
This year Foundation organized Award trip for two young scientists together: Jarkyn Otkeyeva and Elena Chernomazova. Young physicians visited the Red square, toured Intercession Cathedral (colloquially Cathedral of Basil the blessed), the Kremlin ensemble cathedrals, and Armory Museum of Kremlin. We managed to get to a spectacular Guard Mounting Parade in Kremlin, which is held on Saturday at the warm time of the year and gathers a huge number of tourists.
The theatre program included Opera Giuseppe Verdi “La Traviata” in the NEW OPERA house in the Hermitage Garden, the ballet of Cesar Pugni’s “Esmeralda” at the Musical Theater of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko, as well as dramatic performances – the play “Star of deception” in the theater “Commonwealth of Taganka actors” and the play A. N. Ostrovsky’s “Late love” at the famous Maly Theater, listened to a chamber orchestra Pavel Kogan, in the romantic historic estate of Prince Yusupov in Arkhangelskoe.
Besides Park ensemble of the estate, Jarkyn and Elena enjoyed views of Novodevichy convent with a pond and a Park around, looked at Moscow from the observation platform of Moscow state University, walked on the Boulevard ring, and visited the Gorky Central Park, Neskuchny Garden. It was interesting to get acquainted with the monuments of Moscow; they were particularly impressed by the sculptural group of the M. M. Shemyakin “Children – victims of adult vices” in the Bolotnaya square.
The travelers, visited twice the A.S.Pushkin Museum of Fine arts to look at the Main building collection, displaying the art of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, ancient Greece and Rome, the art of Michelangelo, the paintings of Rembrandt, as well as in the building of European painting – the art of impressionism and post-impressionism. It was impossible to miss the famous Tretyakov gallery, of Russian paintings masterpieces, to see the pictures and the building itself designed by Vasnetsov which is very pleasing to the eye.
Of course, it was very exciting to be in the famous Yury Nikulin circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, and then ride on a comfortable boat Flotilla “Radisson” along Moscow River and see the entire center of Moscow from another perspective. The guests of Russian capital looked at the heart of the city at night illumination during the car tour around the center in one of the last days of stay in Moscow.
Upon Elena’s and Jarkyn’s request visit to the Bakulev Institute of cardiovascular surgery was arranged for them. They spent half of the day in this institute, looked at the equipment, and learned about the work of intensive therapy. This deeply impressed the young doctors. The Foundation expresses gratitude to senior researcher of the Institute Elmira Asymbekova for arranging this visit.
Being back in Bishkek Jarkyn and Elena shared their experiences with participants of the FIRST TEACHER 2016 event where the teachers compete for the same Foundation Award. This took place on 10 September 2016.
